When you message us or book with us

We use the details you give us, such as your name, phone number, email address, and booking notes, to answer your enquiry and help with your visit.

Please share only the details needed for your visit or enquiry. Avoid sending medical records or unnecessary sensitive information.

When you browse the website

Like most websites, we may receive basic technical information such as browser, device, and page-request data to keep the site working properly.

The menu search and allergen filters work in this page without submitting an enquiry or creating a guest profile.

Optional content and your choice

On this website, optional content means an interactive Google map on the home and Find us pages, and the live Food Standards Agency hygiene badge in the footer. Both stay off until you choose Allow optional content, or turn them on in Privacy choices.

When optional content loads, Google and the Food Standards Agency may receive your IP address and browser information, and may use their own cookies or storage. We don’t add analytics or advertising trackers.

Booking, phone, menus, opening hours, directions links and the link to our official food hygiene record work whatever you choose.

Your choice is kept for 180 days in a first-party cookie, osh_cookie_consent. It records what you chose, which optional content is on, and when the choice was saved and expires. It is not an advertising identifier.

If you close the site notice, the strictly necessary old-school-house:site-banner:dashain-closure-2026:closed-this-session item in your browser’s session storage remembers that you closed the site notice until you close the tab. It is set only when you close the notice, contains 1, and holds no personal data.

You can change your mind at any time from Privacy choices at the bottom of any page, or with Change privacy choices on this page. Turning optional content off removes it from the page and stops it loading again. It doesn’t delete information a provider has already received; that is covered by the provider’s own privacy policy.

Food Standards Agency rating

Our footer always links to our official Food Standards Agency rating record. The live FSA badge is optional content: it only loads if you allow it, and then your browser requests the agency’s script, rating data and artwork, so the FSA receives technical information such as your IP address and browser details. Its own privacy and cookie information applies.

The main website uses local fonts; standalone lunch menus use fonts available on your device. The display theme is kept only in memory for the current page session, without reading or writing a theme preference in browser storage.

Online booking and external links

Online booking takes you to Nabatable at the venue-specific booking page. This website does not contain a booking form. Review the privacy information and required fields on Nabatable before entering details, or contact the pub by phone or email.

Directions, social media and food hygiene links open other websites. Those services receive your request when you follow a link; their privacy information explains their own services.

Data-protection complaints

You can make a complaint about how your personal information is handled using the pub’s email, telephone number or postal address on this page. Explain your concern and how you would like to be contacted; you do not need to provide medical records or identity documents with an initial complaint.

Data protection law requires acknowledgement within 30 days of receipt, appropriate investigation and progress information, and an outcome without undue delay. The 30 days are for acknowledgement, not a promise that every complaint will be resolved within that period.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator. The ICO complaint link below explains how to raise a concern.

How long we keep things

We keep information for as long as it is reasonably needed to handle the enquiry, booking, or request you contacted us about, and longer only where legal or accounting reasons require it.

We do not want to hang on to old guest information unnecessarily.

Ask us about your information

You can ask to access or correct your personal information. Depending on the circumstances, you can also request erasure, restriction or portability, object to processing, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Rights relating to solely automated decisions may also apply where such decisions are made.

Use the email, phone or postal address on this page to ask about your information. These rights depend on the circumstances and are not all absolute.

Questions?

Contact the pub directly if you want to ask about your information.

We keep this page plain on purpose, and we will do the same if you get in touch with a privacy question.

Share only the contact and visit details needed for your enquiry. Please avoid sending medical records or unnecessary sensitive information. Email and phone enquiries go directly to the pub. Read our privacy notice.

Whether you want to correct something, ask what we hold, or simply check how a booking detail is used, we are happy to point you in the right direction.
